Imam Amar has served as Head Imam at a number of mosques in England and presently serves as a Head Imam at Darul Qura Islamic Research Centre

(DQIRC) in Birmingham. Here his various duties include managing a full-time Hifdh* programme, and supporting young people in their faith development journeys through retreats and other educational activities.

Amar is experienced in creating and running educational courses aimed at encouraging the Muslim community to pursue their faith with confidence and authenticity. He is also committed to promoting health and well-being amongst younger Muslims in the communities he serves including through his own example, having completed several half-marathons and cycle treks in the UK and further afield.

Amar pursued Islamic education at jamia Al Karam, Retford where he gained a foundation Diploma in Islamic Sciences and Classical Arabic in 2018. Alongside this, he also studied at DQIRC in Birmingham where he obtained ljaza' in the Islamic Sciences of Tajweed® and Quran studies. Also in 2018, Amar spent time at Al Azhar University where he completed his memorization of the Quran, 14 years after first beginning this endeavour. He also holds a BA in Criminology from the

University of Sheffield Hallam.
