2003 – 2006

He began his Islamic studies in 2003 at the age of 16 and graduated from Retford Jamia al –Karam, Nottingham in 2006. Under the spiritual guidance of RESPECTED Pir Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada who established Jamia Al-Karam in 1985 which is a Muslim boy’s boarding school and also an Islamic Studies College (Dar-ul-Uloom) which is located in Nottinghamshire, England.

The school was praised by Her Majesty the Queen's OFSTED inspectors who said,

"You have come a long way in a short time".

2006 - 2009

In 2006 Imam Syed Azmat Ali Shah extended his Islamic knowledge by going to Al-Azhar University which is an educational institute in Cairo, Egypt. Founded in 970 - 972 as a madrasa, it is the chief center of Arabic literature and Islamic learning in the world. It is the oldest degree-granting university in Egypt. In 1961 non-religious subjects were added to its curriculum.

2010 – Current

After completing his Islamic studies and attaining a wealth of Islamic topics ranging from: Fiqh, Tafsir, Hadith, Arabic Grammer and Seerah. He is now the local Imam as well lecturer and teacher of Chesham Mosque in Buckinghamshire.
He had also been given the honour to deliver a keynote speech on Memorial Day in 2010 which was attended by World War 2 respected soldiers and by local dignitaries, which was well received by the Chesham community.
His predominate duties as an Imam consists of Jummah Speeches in English, Hosting dignitaries and local events. Offering Counselling sessions to local community members (Open to everyone). In addition to this he also holds weekly children and adult classes to discuss various Islamic topics.

2012 – Current

In 2012 Imam Syed Azmat Ali Shah was approached by the local council and notable figures of the community, to teach at the Chiltern Hills Academy (Oxford Diocese) which is a co-educational Academy School in Chesham Buckinghamshire. It is a Church of England school, which takes children from the age of 11 through to the age of 18
Currently he is in the process of completing his teaching course which will allow him to become a fully qualified Religious studies teacher. He has been given the responsibility to teach classes on Islamic studies and to mentor and assist in youth development. it text
