After completing the memorisation of the Holy Quran in 2 years and 5 months and gaining a firm base in Arabic grammar at the Sultan Bahu Trust institute, Birmingham, Shaykh Sadaqat travelled to the blessed land of Shaam Sharif (modern day Syria) under the guidance of Shaykh Sultan Niaz ul Hasan Qadri. In the first year, he enrolled at the language faculty at the University of Damascus, equipping himself with Arabic language as well as the Arabic grammar. Thereafter he began his Islamic Sciences at the renowned Al-Fath'h Islamic institute. As well as studying in the Islamic Institute, Shaykh Sadaqat studied privately with some of the greatest living vessels of Shaam Sharif including Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi, Shaykh Samir An-Nass and Shaykh Mahir Al-Hindi. He also gained ijaaza in Quran from Shaykh Muhammad Sadiqa in the narration of hafs. After returning from Syria, the Shaykh set up his own centre of learning, teaching the Quran, Islamic studies and other subjects, catering for the needs of the community. He also leads the Jumma Khutbah in various masjids spreading the message of love and affection. The Shaykh currently resides in Rotherham and continues to strive for the Muslims of UK delivering talks and seminars around the country.
